4. OK then.
We need to increase the military to fight the long war. We won't let bad people run us out of the Middle East. We will continue to fight until the ideology of Liberty triumphs over the ideology of Hate. My heart breaks for the dead soldiers and their families, it really does. Go shopping.

5. That's the brief - same old bullshit....surprised?
Did you think he would get a surge of intelligence? Be able to look forward optimistically?

The moron will never change - been a moron for years, will be one forever. I like the thread today that asked if he could be arrested....I also wonder if we, as citizens, can sue him for incompetence (millions of individual lawsuits...what fun!).

7. I enjoyed the part where he had to answer questions.
It was so obvious that he hated to answer any questions. Of course he did not give a straight answer to anyone. I enjoy seeing him in a corner.

10. I was listening to parts of it on the Randi Rhodes show today on my
way home. Some guy is sitting in for a vacationing Randy. He played parts from today's "performance" that actually sounded like Bush was drunk, high, or both. Slurred speech, slow thought patterns, rambling incoherent answers - same ol, same ol but to the 10th degree. Postively scary that this "moran" is the CIC.

He might be heavily medicated. When you are that big an idiot, you have to take something to give you courage to be as big a jackass as he is.

message that came through. Made me wonder how many people would first think about liquids rather than seriousness.

8. Why the use of * for Bush?
Is it just out of general disgust for his name or am I missing a joke? (new guy)

11. It originated with Doonesbury. Bush is represented by an * instead of a cartoon picture.

Welcome to DU :hi:

edit: I was wrong. See post #12. A SCOTUS justice originated the * and Doonesbury popularized it.

12. The * comes from one of the supreme court justices
I believe it was White who said in 2000 that georgie* would forever have an * beside his name as an appointed president rather that being elected to the office. We've used that symbol since then.
Welcome to DU :hi:

Bush's Year-End Press Conference: It's the End of the Year Because the Year Has Ended:

Sweet motherfuck, let's take a gander at some of the patently obvious and blatantly bugfuck statements in this news conference:

Strangely seeming surprised that some people in the Iraq war are fighting against the United States: "The enemies of liberty responded fiercely to this advance of freedom. They carried out a deliberate strategy to foment sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shia. And over the course of the year they had success. Their success hurt our efforts to help the Iraqis rebuild their country, it set back reconciliation." So, in other words, in a war, the opposition fought back. Bastards.

Regarding the incoming Senate and House leadership: "We agreed that we've got important business to do on behalf of the American people and that we've got to work together to achieve results." So, in other words, they agreed to do their fuckin' jobs. Beautiful.

Dangerous questioning on what Bush might be planning on Iraq: "That's a dangerous hypothetical question. I'm not condemning you; you're allowed to ask anything you want." So, in other words, he won't send the reporter to Gitmo. Blissful.

The rest of the article is too rude to post here.
BTW, Chimpy is more insane than ever. :scared:

22. in addition
we are bringing the Iraqis freedom by occupying them. The constant bombing from the beginning brought them liberty, I guess. Now why would anyone ever fight back?

Yes, the bush monkey is certifiable! :hide:

17. He was stumped with first question on how he could say last month we were winning
the war and last week says we are neither winning nor losing. It went down hill after that. Oh, he neither answered nor didn't answer the opening question but he did look up at the ceiling for an answer from above. He did that ceiling look a couple of times today. Scary.

19. Great Bush line
A reporter asked him something like, a month a go, you said we were winning in Iraq, today you said we're not winning or not losing, why the change ...
Threw poor Georgie for a major loop ...
His answer included a whole bunch of garbled nothingness .... but I liked this line:

"see, when I speak, like I am doing right now, ...."

Priceless

He was reeling.
