In all seriousness, I can not help but think these are people who have been burned before. The only way I can come to a rational conclusion about why children should go to bed hungry and not have any food is that these people feel like they have been taken advantage of and made a fool of before. They think these hungry people may be lazy and just taking advantage of the system but they are determined they will not be taken advantage of. They make fun of us because it makes them feel better about themselves. When you think about it, this type of action must mean they have a really, really low self esteem.

I know there are hungry people out there because I know that when my husband was young he used to have to sell his plasma to get cash so he could even have a small bit of food. I know there are hungry people out there because my best friend in high school would skip lunch sometimes because they did not have the money for food. Even if some people believe the parents might be lazy, I am not sure how they can look in the mirror when they are sending young children to bed with their tummy growling. What a sad life when you do not even know how to have empathy for your fellow man.
