I have a dangerous hypothetical for Bush...
Since he doesn't like to be asked a "dangerous hypothetical question" and finds such thinking to be so dangerous and destructive and all.

I think the most dangerous hypothetical of our time is this:

We have to fight them over there so we don't have to do it here.

How many people have died and been maimed because of that? What is the price in our own lives, treasure and worldwide reputation?

Sounds pretty dangerous to me.

This administration just may be our nation's greatest tragedy. What a shame.

1. That statement makes me sick...
"We have to fight them over there so we don't have to do it here".

It's so repulsive, because it was so patently and blatantly false.

I am so angry at our entire country for letting that buffoon escape accountability.

The "them" to whom Junior referred was "Al Queda". There was no "them" in Iraq---when we invaded.

So, we went to fight "them", when they were not even there.

It's just despicable, that this vile creature can say anything he wants--and the sheep just nod and smile.

4. I'll second the quoted comment (below)
"I am so angry at our entire country for letting that buffoon escape accountability."

Beyond fed up

6. I keep thinking that someone will finally stand up to this lunatic...
it is unbelievable to me that he just keeps on doing whatever he wants regardless of the consequences.

Not only that, but Shrub has decided that Iraq will be someone else's mess to clean up. He is going to keep this war going until November 2008, and then wash his hands of it.

2. Did you notice he said, "good try" ("nice try?") at the end of his non-response
to that "dangerous hypothetical" question?

What did he mean by that? "Good try at getting me to actually say something meaningful." "Good try at getting me to think." "Good try at asking a real question. Let's see if you'll ever get called on again." He really thinks this is a f*cking game, doesn't he?

3. that's what he meant
it's a bit of paranoia. He thinks they are trying to trick him into a corner. We all know that they are generally kind to him. But he thinks they are trying to trick him.

7. it's the classic GOP victim mentality
if the Liberal Media monolith isn't out to get them then it's the ubiquitous homosexual agenda hiding under their beds. All fear all the time.

5. that pissed me off
why did he say that? I took it as a very negative thing, like he was telling her "Good try, but you elitist defeat monkeys aren't putting one over on The Decider." It was a condescending thing to say. It is something you would say to try and zing your little brother in the middle of a childish argument. He is one weird person. Mommy and daddy needed to hug little Georgie every once in a while, then maybe he wouldn't be so fucked up.

10. "Victory in Iraq" is hypothetical.
Edited on Thu Dec-21-06 07:00 AM by Hubert Flottz
But Bush swears IT CAN BE DONE! How does he know that for a fact?

Edit...Where is the proof?
