2. That's the storm that dumped over 6 inches of snow
through the Rio Grande Valley, something highly unusual here. We're on the desert side of the Rockies and the snow generally behaves itself and only sticks on the mountains.

We got another inch of the stuff last night, an unwanted lagniappe from the back end of the departing storm.

Stay safe. This is not only a nasty one, it's a slow one.

7. I have heard we are going to get this until Saturday!

As long as we don't lose power again, I will deal. Though it is hard to get around as many of the streets are starting to flood. Our's hasn't yet, except for the edges. We have brief periods (about 10-15 minutes) on little drizzle or no rain, then it starts back up. Great sleeping weather, though!

6. Welcome to New Orleans
These events are not out of the ordinary. I had a friend in Metarie and the streets flooded all the time.

You might want to consider getting your car to higher ground, if there's any such thing around you.

8. No higher ground...
...short of driving my car into my house, which ain't happening. :) We are on higher ground as compared to most of NOLA. It is making getting around a chore, but such is life. Thankfully, I have a roof over my head, there are way too many here that don't even have that luxury. At least it isn't ice or snow!!!

9. Dear God: We are not amused.
Okay, I'm not blaming God, but holy cow. The weather just keeps wrecking havoc all over the place. Sheesh! That's all NOLA needs -- more flooding.

11. The weather has been
quite lovely the past two weeks. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. We haven't had the heat or air conditioning on in several weeks.

13. There is truth to that
I am definitely acclimated to this climate. Humidity doesn't bother me. We went to Phoenix a couple of years ago and that 99 degrees with zero percent humidity damn near killed me. I like to sweat.

15. Thank you My Dear
And best wishes to you. I am a very lucky guy. Everyday is Christmas for me. Wonderful home, wonderful wife, relatively good health and DU. Here's a :toast: to you. I'll drink to that. Hell, I'll drink to anything.
