2. Here's an LBN article:
Report Says Berger Hid Archive Documents (Under Construction Trailer)

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061220/D8M4R7DO0.html

Former national security adviser Sandy Berger removed classified documents from the National Archives in 2003 and hid them under a construction trailer, the Archives inspector general reported Wednesday.

The report was issued more than a year after Berger pleaded guilty and received a criminal sentence for removal of the documents.

Inspector General Paul Brachfeld reported that when Berger was confronted by Archives officials about the missing documents, he said it was possible he threw them in his office trash.

<snip>

"Mr. Berger said he placed the documents under a trailer in an accessible construction area outside Archives 1 (the main Archives building)."

Berger acknowledged that he later retrieved the documents from the construction area and returned with them to his office.

3. They want a Dem they can bash for doing something wrong
Same old RW media we've come to hate and loathe.

And Berger took copies of documents, not the originals. The originals were never in danger of leaving the premises.

Tom Davis was on this morning. "The Nation deserves to know" and "The Democrats will hush this matter up when they take over" were some of the nuggets he cast out this morning on the Washington Journal while he was busy explaining how anybody could be a Congressman, you DID NOT have to be a millionaire. He got kind of huffy with the person who dared to suggest otherwise to him.

Why he himself put aside his law practice at 29 and ran for a County office, that was how he got started. He is the man who issued over a thousand subpoenas to the Clinton Administration but only three to the Bush administration. A thoroughly sordid scum. From K Street to flaunting the Ethics rules in the most brazen fashion Tom is the prototypical Republiclown. A real snake.
