the real rationale for the "surge" |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-21-06 06:18 PM by leftofthedial
for whatever reason, the bush neocon cabal has sided with the Shia. When we leave Iraq, the Saudis and perhaps other ME countries will side with the Sunnis.
Our political and military leadership are incompetent and corrupt to the core, but they are not stupid. They know that the Iraqi police army and death squads we are "training" are basically adjuncts of the Shia militia. Our evil, vile leaders want to kill as many Sunnis and arm and train as many Shia as possible before leaving. Perhaps the surge can so tilt the struggle toward the Shia that any involvement by the Saudis and others will be moot
Any idea why the cabal love the Shia so? I used to think it was expediency, siding with the side that will win in an Iraqi Civil War, mixed with a bit of lingering loathing for Saddam. But now I think there is some other reason, perhaps a biblical one or perhaps one related to Iraq and the post-peak oil supply. Anyone have any ideas why the bush cabal have sided with the Shia?

He is the 'war president'. He wants to continue to feed money to his friends that arm the war machine.

With the idea that America will stay in Iraq forever. You can't leave while the country is hopelessly broken.....not with all those oil revenues just sitting there and possibly be used by the enemy.
