New Orleans: The City That Bush** Forgot

This is your new meme. For those of you just joining us, New Orleans is sometimes known (or was up through last August, anyway :( ) as "The City That Care Forgot".

Distribute the meme as widely as possible: on other boards, bumper stickers, T-shirts (but be sure not to wear them to the Capitol). What the hey, spray-paint it on the mountains of debris that Bush just got through telling the country he was removing!

It would, obviously, be unfair to the leader of the free world :puke: not to point out that we did merit two whole paragraphs in his 45-minute speech last night, although one was basically another partisan rant. After all, he did put us ahead of HIV/AIDS! :sarcasm:

then segued into people needing hope for jobs and homes all over the USA. I didn't listen to it all, but heard this non-bit.

4. He cares more for Iraqis than he does for Louisianians

He cared more about avoiding a drug test than proudly serving his country in a military unit. He cares more about profiting from insider trading than obeying the law. He cares more about drug company profits than he cares about the folks who need drugs. He cares more about keeping his mistakes secret than from learning from them and bettering himself. He is cheered on and respected by "conservatives." And he could not possibly give a flying dog fuck less about New Orleans or its citizens (especially the state's sassy governor who he loathes with every ounce of drunken passion in his heart - You Go Kathleen.) My hate for him is not irrational.
