"The Democratic Response" vs. "Democrats' Response" Fox vs. the rest
I was flipping around all of the stations last night during the democratic response and I noticed something.

Every single news channel (except Fox) had this subtitle while Kaine gave his speech. "THE DEMOCRATIC RESPONSE"

I noticed Fox had something different: "DEMOCRATS' RESPONSE"

What are they implying? Why would they feel the need to change it to something different? What am I missing?

1. They refuse to use the word "Democratic" to refer to our party.
They seem to get a kick out of it.

2. "Democratic" sounds too..
..well, democratic. FOX doesn't want their viewers to associate the party with such a noble word.

3. Kind of equivalent
to saying "The Republics" instead of "The Republicans.'"

7. More like "Republican" vs. "Republicanists'" I think.
 It's a grammar thing.

4. Umm
Sad to say Fox has the grammar on this one right. Democratic has become slang for the legal party name of Democrat. So the Plural is Democrats'.

5. You are neither right nor correct in either your grammar or definitions.
Fox is incorrect and so are you.

The Democratic (adjective) Party (noun) is the party of the Democrats (noun/political group).

Those who use the term "Democrat Party" demonstrate both their ignorance of the English language and their rudeness.

8. So, you're saying the Supreme Court doesn't know legal party names?
Is that what you're saying? Could it be that YOU'RE wrong (spreading a falsehood?) and the Supreme Court got it right?
