NOT SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS for impeachment?

1. Bushco paralyzed the sheeple by fear

and they tucked their tails between their legs and asked W to protect them. The bushbots ignore the fact that only 1% of the Muslims are extremists and the rest only want to live only a peaceful life.

2. Actually, only 25% of the population...
...then the Corporate Media Whores used smoke and mirrors to make that look like a majority. Read John Dean's "Conservatives Without Conscience" for details.

4. Many of us are
Even many of the conservatives and Republicans -- such as Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan, who regularly follow Keith's show.

Why impeachment isn't at the top of the agenda is obvious to me. First things first -- we have a disastrous war and an impending economic disaster to deal with. The Boy-King will not be dealt with gently by law, or by repute, or by posterity. But he won't even be able to leave the country in a few years. If he must worry and wonder about answering for his crimes for the rest of his life, let him.

We have much to do. And we are in a position in history in which we can make everything count.

5. I've been screaming ....
I started printing up Impeach-Bush-Cheney bumper stickers a while ago just to save my own sanity.

We need to remove these crooks before we can begin to address the really important issues of the day.

6. Keith's 2006 commentaries were spot on.
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 01:36 AM by Fridays Child
Keith Olbermann and, to some extent, even other cable commentators, such as Scarborough, Dobbs, Cafferty, and Matthews, need to be seen on regular broadcast television. That's where the bulk of American television viewers get their news. And even though those newscasters still spew plenty of propaganda (Keith excluded), more and more, they're realizing, and reporting, the truth about the Bush administration.

8. He does have a lot of viewers and that probably helped.
But I wish he were on regular old broadcast TV or drive time AM radio. Apparently, the latter is an extremely effective venue for political ideas, which is why it's so important to support Air America and similar progressive radio efforts.

9. the key word here is "intelligent" . . . hate to say it, but when it comes to politics . . .
and to national and world affairs, a large percentage of Americans are dumb as a sack of rocks . . . probably because they still get most of their info from the corporate media -- and generally believe what they are told by the "experts" . . .

10. Fascism always fades when people call it for what it is.
The reason -- only reason -- why the populations of the U.S. and the world have not risen up in anger and with retribution for the scourge of the rightwing-nuts over the past 50 years is because the MSM, obligated to those same wing-nuts, refused to honestly point out what they were doing. So long as nobody objected to them, they just kept raping asnd robbing.

What Stewart and Colbert and Olbermann have been doing is simply stating the truth. Once that truth is out -- even a little -- it is the lies that begin to fade away.
