LOL!!! Sen. Lieberman Calls for More Troops
Any tiny speck of respect I still might have had for Lieberman, is now gone for sure. He is just as delusional and stupid as Bush is. Well, at least Newsmax values his opinion. :puke:

Sen. Lieberman Calls for More Troops

After visiting the Middle East last week with a Senate delegation, Sen. Joe Lieberman has added his voice to those calling for the United States to send more troops to Iraq.

In an e-mail, the Connecticut lawmaker said on Wednesday: "After speaking with our military commanders on the ground, I strongly believe that additional U.S. troops must be deployed to Baghdad.”

According to the Hartford Courant, the e-mail from Lieberman — who also visited Israel and Kuwait — said the additional troops "will at least allow us to establish security throughout the Iraqi capital, train the Iraqi army, hold critical central neighborhoods there, and clamp down on the insurgency.

1. He's a disaster. I wonder what it's going to take for him to admit
that has played such an outrageous role in the brutal deaths of so many innocent people?

And now he wants to send more people to die.

What a joke.

He should be in prison.....or a psychiatric hospital at the very least.

3. Those War Hero Types Stick Together!
Joe should have showed the troops how it's done one time, while he was over there! Turn GI Joe LIEberman loose in Baghdad and the bad guys would give up in very short order!

6. They haven't been able to train an Iraqi army....
in 3 plus years, what makes them think that with more troops the job is going to become easier? If someone doesn't want to be trained, doesn't want to fight against their own countrymen, if someone enlists in the army ONLY for the steady paycheck, you're NEVER going to get them to fight their own war. Waiting for the Iraqi army to be trained is like Waiting for Godot. :eyes:

7. Why I am simply shocked, I tell you....SHOCKED!
To quote Condi, 'who could have EVER foreseen' that he'd take such a stance?

I'm dragging out one of these :sarcasm: things, because there's always someone with an irony deficiency who takes such comments at face value...

9. I understand Iraq is fuzzy with permanent US military bases.
Do we really need them all to give the Iraq's the democracy they so obviously don't want?

16. Let's permanently move Congressional sessions to the Green Zone or one of
those bases in Iraq, and see how they change their minds. Real quick.

10. To be specific
The Bush inner circle owns him. Any idiot playing a double game would work with the mainstream GOP, even that face saving cabal of an Iraq Commission. But no, like McCain who went so far as floating the outrageous idea of escalation, the Bush Hugger Mugger Society only spews the madness of their particular sponsor. Maybe L. wants to be McCain's dream team running mate, his ultimate revenge against decent people who exposed and opposed him, revenge against America being the bilious spite that ferments Bush's vision thing.

It is a shame that voters of both parties are parties to such a maniacal, despotic swindle for the sake of a phony, treacherous "president"- America's first failed dictator.

14. Maybe he'll get promoted into the administration.
One could only hope. So does Connecticut require a special election or does their Republican governor get to appoint the Senate tie-breaker?

It is a damn shame Lamont did not win.
