Now that I have your attention. I'm kidding, I love you.

You do though, you really do. As a grown man, still a slave to my testosterone and what society says my strength should be, it upsets me at times that when I read this board I cry more than the hobbits in the Lord of the Rings movies.

I cry for the tragedies my friends here suffer and cry tears of joy at their triumphs. I cry for the injustices we bring to light on this forum as we all empathically share the burden of this broken world.

And now you've gone and given me a present and I cry because I may never be able to repay such incredible kindness. You're going to allow my wife and I to get a little closer to even for a change and perhaps be able to give some cheer to our loved ones and each other. You exemplify the Democratic spirit and more importantly the human spirit of kindness that hopefully dwells in all men.

And I have to cry because you constantly give this old, defeated pessimist further hope in humanity and I have to make an effort to be worthy of that and keep fighting for it.

I don't really know any of you but believe me when I say: I love you with all of my heart and the Shadow family humbly thanks you.

Needless to say if you're ever in my neck of the woods, I owe you a cup of coffee and we have an extra room if you need a place to stay.

20. I have been crying for the past hour reading this place

between all the donations to you and the others who needed help, the 14 yr. old boy who died in an accident, FR member coming over here to say thank you, stories of homeless DU'ers past and present, it hasn't stopped :cry:

I was also just thinking the exact same thing, I wish the world was more like the people at DU. so much compassion and caring. :grouphug:
