Reminders
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 07:32 PM by uppityperson
You do not need to comment on every post, or even on any post. If you have nothing to add, you don't have to. Even if you have something to add, you don't have to. You also do not have to vote in every or any poll.

Being nasty for the sake of nastiness is just nasty.

Thank you moderators for helping keep this place decent.

Make sure you let those you love know you love them once in a while, and those you appreciate know that you appreciate them because few people can read minds and most of us like hearing this.

Thank you.

3. Another way to keep from writing nasty posts
in response to a poster who has made you angry is to put them on Ignore. If said poster has done something that you feel violated the rules then hit the Alert button. No need to get nasty.

11. Well, sometimes it's fun reading posts where posters should have
not posted anything. But the post you're talking about, I'll give an amen to that. That was definitely uncalled for.

12. and there is also the Hide Thread feature
If you're not interested in seeing any more threads on something, hide them.

I find it very easy to do, and I don't have to wade though (what seems like) endless threads on smoking/circumcision/Mt Hood climbers.

And the post you're referring to, was highly uncalled for and I'm glad that the moderators acted as quickly as they did.

15. I felt the need to comment on this post
Though I have nothing to add. :P

Actually sometimes I make a comment that adds nothing just to keep a good post kicked so others can see it.

Like this one. :hi:
