Did it occur to you that maybe Bush is trying to provoke the Apocalypse? (((shudder)))
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 08:48 PM by BigBearJohn
He seems like he is on a mission. After all, he does say
that he answers to a "higher" authority. Do the
words Apocalypse or Armegeddon sound familiar? How
about the end of the world?

6. Well you dont have to be rude about it. It's just with all the posturing about Iran
and unwillingness to talk to North Korea
it just seems all the more possible.

3. He (or more accurately, his puppet masters) is trying to provoke Iran...
And Iran isn't taking the bait. So they keep raising the ante.

5. I don't think so
I have my doubts as to how devout Bush really is. But he probably stayed at a Holiday Inn at some point in his formative years.

There's an excellent post up at kos btw, by a psychiatrist. It's armchair analysis, to be sure, but it seemed dead on to me.

7. No. I think it's as simple as how his stubbornness can't bear to admit
he made a mistake. He's the cause of the war and all the death and he won't acknowledge it. In order to embrace that, he also refuses to confront what history will say about him, stating numerous times that he'll be dead so he won't have to worry about it.

8. I heard the same on the radio this afternoon from a caller in.
The person said he's trying to bring the rapture so it seems you aren't alone in thinking this. However, I don't think he's doing this as much as he is leading his RW evangelical supporters to think that he's trying to do this. I think his reasons or rather the reasons of his puppetmasters is much more mundane but still very destructive.

9. There's a good chance he will succeed in his mission
before his term is over. I hope that all of the people who voted for him realize what they've done before the blast or the radiation gets them.

11. Armageddon / Apocalypse Choose Your Flavor
This is my post on DU from July 20th, 2006

"Guess what folks. Armageddon is coming to a planet near you. Brought to you by the wonderful right wing neocon theocratic fascists that not only occupy you television channels but the halls of Congress and the White House. Say good bye to your heretical Christian friends. You know they'll be disappearing in the upcoming rapture that will take them away before the really bad stuff starts. I realize DUer's know sarcasm when they read it. But this is not funny folks. These creeps are INSANE!

The match has been lit and the war fires are burning while our Neo-Nero sits there and chews with his mouth open, lies to our face, gropes foreign leaders, makes up and breaks laws as he goes along and barely rescues Americans in distress.

We are stumbling around in a netherworld of rehashed Ted Mack Amateur Hours and reality shows. No one is willing to do anything but talk. How can your trust even the politicians that say they agree with us? Are we being patronized or are we being told the truth.

I'm usually an optimistic person but I've never felt this hopeless about the future of our great nation. We The People need to rise up and strangle the propaganda pabulum machine. Turn off the crap, or to use a Bushism, "shit" on TV and contact your representative, call you local television station, newspaper, media outlet or anyone that will listen and let them what you think!"

This may not do any good at this point. This prick should be impeached.
today! Species have come and gone on this planet. With the crumbling environment and the fact that present day mandkind thinks everything is solved with violence we may be witness to our own distruction.

12. I've thought about that for a while now.
His dad tried and failed miserably. It seems like they're on a mission to destroy everyone and everything. So far, that's honestly the only thing I can say he's doing a good job on. We've lost four airliners, the World Trade Center, 1/5th of the Pentagon, the entire city of New Orleans, 3,000 troops... and it seems like there's no end in sight.

19. I think the Dimson is too much of a coward to try and bring on the
end of the world. After all, he knows he is a phony Christian and certainly won't be one of the chosen few. But I do get the impression that Bushco is doing everything they can to bankrupt this wonderful country and they are doing everything they can to bring it down - the only question is why and I think the answer to that it they just don't care as long as they get lots and lots of money.

15. I am going with the Horton hears a Who explanation
Bush has it in his head that he made a commitment to this war and he is going to stick to it no matter how insane it becomes.

I actually think this is a likely result of his inability to empathise or percieve other people's positions. Many people have suggested that he may have a psychopathic personality or may be a sociopath.

In the early days of the war, some fundies I know were just all giddy with the thought that this war may bring on what they called the 4 white horsemen.

21.  As disconnected bush is from reality
It is quite possible he is somehow convinced he will be raptured . Who can say for certain .

I do feel he has put us on a dangerous collision course that we may not be able to turn around in time .

I am at the point the way things are going in mans time on this planet that perhaps they are near the end by their own means and choice and ignorence .

This sort of end my mans own destructive nature has been getting closer and more advanced over the past 50 years .

23. Yes. All the time, especially now. I flipped thorugh the TV channels and found
Jack Van Impe and some woman going on about end times and quoting the bible and seemed thrilled about it. These people and their ilk and their followers put Bush** in office (with the help of a some voting machines).

24. Ridiculous Notion.
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 10:22 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
He and his handlers simply want a permanent foothold in the Middle East. Nothing more.

Bear with me as I explain:

I truly feel that it is a strategic mindset that they consider to truly be in the best interest of this country. Though I obviously disagree immensely in how they've gone about it, I always try and look deeper into what drives the actions. My theory has been that of course it is for oil, but not solely for financial gain. I think the powers behind the curtains of just about every country know that ultimately the peak oil terror will be upon us, and those not positioned correctly will have the greatest chaos and greatest economic failure. I believe PNAC et al is all about the concept of making sure when the chaos begins, our country can be in as good of a position as possible to hold out as long as we can.

I hold that twisted theory that those in power truly, in no matter how warped of a way, think they are doing what is ultimately necessary to protect our country's existence when the chaos starts. I think they'll stop at nothing to make sure we maintain global power dominance and will sacrifice as many foreign (and even domestic) lives to reach that goal. I believe they truly think those sacrifices are necessary and that though we think they're evil, they believe they're doing the right thing and we're just ignorant to the realities of the chaos we all face, and how we'd face it exponentially greater if they didn't do the things they are doing now.

I'm sick and exhausted right now, so I probably didn't make NEARLY as much sense with explaining that theory as I would've liked to. I also obviously disagree completely with the ways in which they are going about such 'protections' of our nation. But I do in my gut think that at the end of the day they are doing what they are doing for no more than peak oil chaos, and an every-man-for-himself/better-prepare-now-or-be-fucked typed mentality.
