You know, after spewing all the crap, his white sheets are probably stained beyond cleaning, so let's send him some new white sheets. You don't have to cut hole for the eyes, he probably knows how to use scissors. (Or he can have an office aide do it.)

2. I was thinking more on these lines:
Islam for Dummies
Christianity for Dummies
I really think he needs the second one before he tackles the first.

4. It's a political statement...
if someone sends you a bunch of white sheets, it might just make you think you're a racist. Either that, or you've won the white sheet lottery. Who knows?

3. And he says there will be no apology. The media hounds everyone
until there is an apology but this guy is already old news. I would like the media to ask how many Goode's are in Congress.

5. I think a copy of the constitution would be nice
Its obvious he doesn't have one; although we would have to add instructions because he wouldn't know what to do with it.

7. Excellent idea!
I like it better than mine! I'd also like to know why he doesn't have the Constitution on the wall of his office.

8. I have a handy dandy
copy in book form: The Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Article of Confederation. $4.95 at Barnes and Noble. Its prominently displayed on my I love Me bookcase in my office along with my Navy Paraphernalia. I support it. I defend. Against all enemies. Check it out Mr Goode, its a truly amazing document.

9. Yeah Congressman
Check out Article VI, (That's 6, you ignorant piece of work) section 3; it's one of the provisions you swore or affirmed to preserve, protect and defend. By the way, when we take that oath, we don't get to pick and choose which provisions; we sign on for the whole glorious thing and it starts off with "We the People ...", no bigoted picking and choosing here either - every freaking one of us.

10. Yo Go Sarge
Aren't we so wacky with all that land of the free stuff and protecting the constitution. We are just too cute.

Hope you and your family have an awesome time whatever that time might entail.

13. Backatcha, Chief
May the renewing light warm and light the way for you and yours.

Well, you know, lifer noncoms - anal as all hell and not into nuance. "That's how the @*&^% thing reads, (^@#^*!"

16. My wife would agree with you
that I am anal and beyond. I Drive her crazy with my neatness and the importance of symetry and order. Life is good. By gawd it better be.

Nothing as nuanced as a Chief(Sarge) asking a young Sailor(Soldier) - What's the ^&*#$ book say? Or my favorite - "whether you think you can or you can't, you're right." (Always said with a perky smile.) Pisses em off right into order and discipline (and success.)

18. My moments came when some of the boy-os thought they could make me cry.
Conclusion of a nasty telefon: Him - "What's your rank?!" Me - "MSgt(E7), what's yours?" Him (long pause) - TSgt(E6). Who's in charge there?" Me - "I am. You wanna zip up that fly and start over?"

Nuance be damned - go for the throat.

14. . . . and a translation of the Koran
As long as he's going to condemn it, he might as well read it.

17. Roger that Teammate
But I think its a little tacky and downright liberal of you to insist that a United States Congressman knows of what he speaks. Why do you hate America?

Merry Christmas my Friend. Long may we rant about the evil forces confronting our great country.

19. I'm sure he has several copies of the constitution.
He keeps them in a pile next to the toilet.

I'm sure he uses them all the time.

6. I was thinking of a large print bible with
all the good stuff underlined, or a nice Quran. Or if, like me, you are financially limited, a picture of one.

Maybe even these verses would point out something to such a kkkhristian:

But I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by heaven for it is God's throne; Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Matthew 5:34-37

12. Maybe a copy of the story of the Good Samaritan
After all, one main point of the story is that the Good Guy was a member of a religious minority.

15. Send Virgil this.
Article 6 Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution.
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
