5. Thank you monkeyman.
Best wishes to all of our veterans!
The welfare of the soldiers in the Middle East are in the thoughts of the majority of Americans now. I hope that this rising groundswell will bring them all home soon.

7. Best Wishes for a Wonderful Holiday to All Vets and Service Personnel
Even though we don't express ourselves very well at times, you must know that our veterans and those fighting for our liberties, today, are in our thoughts and prayers. Without all of you, we wouldn't have the freedoms we have today...although they seem to be diminishing.

We'll be working hard to correct that problem in 2007-2008!

Peace to you all!

11. Thank you for your service
Both my parents served. Mom was a WAC and dad was a Marine. My husband's father was a disabled vet. One of the reasons we campaigned so hard for Nancy Boyda (who beat a five time GOP incumbent) was because she's a vocal and strong advocate for veterans. Her husband was a Marine and she was endorsed by every VFW in Kansas. She was recently appointed to the House Armed Services Committee and has asked to serve on the Veteran's Affairs Committee.

Rep.-elect Nancy Boyda (D)

(AP) Boyda gets Armed Services Committee seat:
Newly elected Kansas Rep. Nancy Boyda was tapped Tuesday to serve on the House Armed Services Committee. "It was my very first choice and something I've been advocating for since I got there," Boyda said. During her campaign, Boyda repeatedly called on the United States to establish a realistic plan for withdrawing from Iraq. Boyda, a Democrat, said she is eager to be part of the process to find "where are we going in Iraq and what's the way forward there." She said being on the committee also would help her make sure last year's federal military base realignment process is fully funded. The process affects each of the three military bases in her district: Fort Riley, Fort Leavenworth and Forbes Field, near Topeka. Boyda has requested a spot on two other panels, the House Agriculture and Veterans' Affairs committees. Those assignments may not be known for several more weeks. http://www2.ljworld.com/blogs/kansas_congress/2006/dec/13/boyda/

I worked for Nancy because she said she would work for veterans. I'll do my part to make sure she does.
