I think the crowning was a major smudging event. They wanted as many politicians as possible to keep their yaps shut and leave Moon alone no matter what he does...and what better way than to involve them even if they still had to con most of them into coming.
One person who got a lot of press from this was Mark Dayton. He had as little to do with it as anyone. His people were honest enough to admit he didn't know Moon would be there and since they talked to the press those fuckers made him a main subject of their articles. I could go on about how the WP fucked up the whole story. That is another point, Gorenfeld had to post the GD video of the event before the WP would report it. We knew about it three months before then and had pictures of it. The rest of the media didn't touch it till the WP made it OK for them. Still none of the reports told anyone about what Moon wants, what he has done and is doing to manipulate our political process. The media dropped the ball completely, the fucking inept cowards.
Anyway, Dayton's name wasn't on the host committee, and even Stallings, Moon's main shill for the event admitted Dayton had no idea any of what was going down. In fact he was there about five minutes, never saw Moon.
here's a little about how they conned them.... First you take decades of mainstreaming by the soul selling right to where the politicians in DC think Moon is just another player. The people don't complain about Moon because most of them don't know he is still alive so the politicians don't see a down side to blowing Moon. They think the nation knows all about him and he is old news. So what the moonies did was get their regular shill to set up a meeting room(turned out to be the reagan building) for Feb 4, 2004 - yes they had dry run.
People like Chris Cannon(R-UT) helped give Moon's son the crown in Moon's place at the dry run. Cannon, one of the ones who when he said he didn't know anything about what was going March 23, was LYING. Cannon has worked with Moon fronts for years and is one of Moon's "Ambassadors for Peace".
Another who knew what was going on was Moon's buddy Orrin Hatch who seems to know when not to be seen at these events even though he supports Moon. (Moon or his wife have spoken on capital hill more times than you'd imagine.) Anyway, here's a link where you can see Orrin introducing Moon's wife in 1992 at the Dirksen building. According to the moonies, Hatch was to have been at the feb 4 event. He did pen a tune in honor of Moon's Middle East efforts which debuted on feb 4.

They told these politicians they were giving their constituents an award. Since the room is signed for by a Senator (John Warner R-Va) then someone like Dayton thinks all is cool so he stops by to see all these congress people and his constituent, the Moonies get them on stage and slap a couple regular moonies on either side of them and take pictures. The next thing you know Moon's people are conning some widow half way around the world out of money showing her pictures of how powerful Moon is because he was crowned in DC. It helps them convince people into believing he controls the spiritworld. They show video of the event in several countries via Moon's websites and I have seen it in many of their presentation.
here's the thing that should be known about the crowning --- the award they were giving out is Moon's Ambassador for Peace Award. One of Moon's preachers said Moon created the AfP to be "true parents representatives to govern the world." The AfP are in fact the grunts for Moon's personal theocratic United Nations, the Universal Peace Federation.
Point is imo...They needed a white democratic face to flash around. I wouldn't doubt Dayton was targeted if they felt they could con his staff.
The black caucus, if you believe the moonies, is being co opted by Moon's people. It is an outgrowth of his successful efforts to gig black ministers.
Basically my opinion of the crowning is that it is good that it exposed some of Moon's deception

People either don't believe it or they they think it shows he is crazy so they ignore or laugh at him. That is fine with Moon. He's been motoring along with fools laughing at him for decades - he is getting the last laugh and it is NOT close.
I think most people on this board are well aware of the crowning...the masses aren't but people are here. But there you go again, one cannot post anything on another subject about Moon without someone posting about the GD crowning. I know they mean well, but it diverts people from a story that people should know.
If all you can tell people about Moon is that he was crowned - it may be big news to some but it is not telling them what they need to know...imo...
Moon is pulling off many of the things he predicted decades ago - he is doing it NOW and the media will not tell the nation about it. For that reason he will win.
heck, he is now funding and guiding Milingo the RCC archbishop who is creating a schism in the Catholic Church. The RCC is just now, I think, figuring out they are in a fight with Moon not Milingo. In essence, Moon is subverting the RCC...think about that...
