bush: 'we give thanks for Christ's message of love and hope'.
Edited on Sun Dec-24-06 06:14 AM by Philosoraptor
bush actually read these words yesterday as if he'd written them himself, which of course we all know he didn't, but just look at these wonderful words, and think about the 'man' who spoke them, and weep.

1. I don't think Jesus would like George. he'd forgive him,
but he wouldn't like him.
I'm not Jesus, I'll never forgive George.

2. Does he ever listen to the words he speaks?
Does he comprehend them? Apparently not. Actions speak louder than words and if we judge by Bush's actions his words mean nothing.

George Bush: tangible evidence that pure evil does exist.

6. Hmmm
Wasn't Christs message about love and PEACE ?

Though I guess its difficult to say you are a christian when you are bombing the fuck out of brown people and not know for a fact you are a hypocrite.

best alter the message slightly - instead - claim G*d "meant" to say something slightly different.

Merry Christmas - Happy Holidays - Peaceful Winter Festival - Happy Hannukah - whatever floats your boat and fits into your worldview,

because if Bush is an actual dictionary definition "christian", then so is Osama Bin Laden.

8. bush: 'Christmas reminds us that we have a duty to others...'
What in God's name does Bush know about "duty to others?"

"...to everyone celebrating Christmas..." What about the Jews and the atheists and the Muslim and the ...

"...and we see that sense of duty fulfilled in the men and women who wear our Nation's uniform..." Does Bush think Jesus came to this earth to be crucified so he and others like him could send soldiers off to their death?

I recall Jesus sermon on the mount( http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=5&version=9&context=chapter )
referring to "Blessed are the Peacemakers...whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also...

Who else but Satan himself would associate what Jesus said and did with war?

I become immediately nauseated (and I weep) by what Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld, Gates, Cheney and the other presidential cast and crew say, daily. Nauseated not only by what they say but also that the citizens of America let them get away with saying it and often shake their heads in agreement. Have we become a nation of morons?

9. He doesn't seem to even TRY to actually LIVE the way "Christ" taught.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9)

So, Bushtwit and company, where does Jesus say we should bomb and kill others for peace (or profit)? Where does Jesus say ignore the plight of the poor and help the rich? Where does Jesus say that money and power are more important then helping the poor with giving them the proverbial shirt of one's back and expressing love, forgiveness and compassion to ALL? Where does Jesus say being rich and owning lots of fancy stuff will get you into "heaven"? What air, land and water would Jesus pollute out of his caring and love for all?

Perhaps fundies should read the "red letter" part of the New Testament and then ponder this... it is said (by the fundies favorite bible book writer, Paul) that "even Satan can appear as an angel of light". (II Cor 13-15)

11. Bush...antichrist...you decide...

...

But few have preached harder against the Christian right's wrongs than the Rev. Rich Lang of Seattle's Trinity United Methodist Church in Ballard. "This administration is a culture of death, and so is the religious right," says Lang. In his Open Letter to George Bush, published in Real Change, Lang thunders, "You claim Christ but act like Caesar. There is blood all over your hands with the promise of even more blood to come. You sit atop the nations like the Biblical Whore of Babylon openly fornicating with the military men of might." His sermon "George Bush and the Rise of Christian Fascism" (posted like Luther's theses on the church Web site, www.tumseattle.org ) rails that "the power and seduction of this administration emerges from its diabolical manipulation of Christian rhetoric . . . the mirror opposite of what Jesus embodied. It is, indeed, the materialization of the spirit of Antichrist: a perversion of Christian faith and practice."

...

In the Greek, the word "anti" doesn't just mean "against." It also contains the meanings "equivalent to" or "a substitute for." Nero was anti-Christ because he falsely claimed to be God. The idea of deception is crucial. The Antichrist isn't the devil, the opposite of God. He's an evil human masquerading as a golden god. The Antichrist appears to humanity not as the hideous Beast but as handsome Nicolae Carpathia, who resembles Robert Redford without the facial erosion. "That could be our next Republican president," quips Lang.

of true Christians for eternity, IMO. His words are so devoid of truth, when comparing them to his actions, that they are signposts which signify nothing! or the very opposite of what they used to symbolize!

How DARE he speak of "LOVE" and "HOPE" and "FREEDOM" and "PEACE" and "CHRIST"?
