Help viewing video - .avi file - downloaded via bittorrent

I downloaded "George Orwell 1984 DVD-RIP.avi" last night from here:

I didn't notice the user comments about problems with audio until after I downloaded it and now I cannot get any audio using DivX, RealPlayer, or QuickTime.

One of the comments say that if the audio isn't working you might try downloading an AC3 Filter. I googled and found that the AC3 is available only in Windows format. I am on a Mac.

Any suggestions?

It's the closest thing to an all-formats player as you'll find. You can also use its companion utility, ffmpeg, to convert the AVI to something more "Mac-ish," like MP4 or MOV.
