Explosions kill 4 US soldiers in Iraq; 'Bush Bids Good Riddance to Long, Hard Year'

President Bush started 2006 with high hopes, but by the midterm elections, voters had turned on the president and the Republican Party. Andrea Seabrook reviews Mr. Bush's tumultuous year with White House correspondents Don Gonyea and David Greene.

Here he is making "calls" to "troops":

In this photo provided by The White House, President Bush makes Christmas Eve telephones calls to members of the U.S. military from Camp David, Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006.

5. Yes, poor dubya, what a horrible thing for anyone to have to endure.
Reminds me of your "I've got a boo boo too" thread, where he mocked wounded soldiers by comparing a scratch on his face to their permanently maimed and scarred bodies.

7. No, it's just another lousy photo-op.
Every time I read a story about * calling world leaders to discuss issues of global importance I feel like throwing up.
