Ethiopia officially at war with Somalian Islamists according to Ethiopian PM

According to CNN International the Ethiopian Prime Minister says they are officially at war with Islamic groups in Somalia.
Ethiopia dropped bombs and fired missiles at two locations in Somalia according to witnesses.

1. Ethiopia is in the wrong.

I am actually surprised by all this. The current Ethiopian government came to power promising self-determination for all the area's peoples - Eritreans in particular. And they accused the old Dergue of being national-chauvinists. Well, now the current EPRDF government is doing just that by attacking its neighbors. I don't agree with the Somali government's ideology, but I resolutely support the right of the Somali people to determine their own social system.
