I am writing this to thank you the members of DU for all the wonderful things you do. You open the eyes of those who will listen, you give strength to those who are weak and you teach those without political knowledge how to fight back.
I have gained so many things from DU and I have given back so little and for this I apologize.
My business partner and I are also roommates we owned a small construction business in Wisconsin but things have not gone well.
Last winter he was diagnosed with lung cancer and went through chemotherapy with good results. This past summer he nearly cut three fingers off with a power saw and his left hand is now crippled.

The last four months the developer we were working for lied us to. He kept leading us on and telling us the money he promised us was always coming next week.
We have learned there is a pending lawsuit against the developer which put a couple of us small contractors out of business.
The money he promised never came and we were evicted. This is the last day we will have a place to live and nowhere to go but our truck.

Thankfully our landlord let us stay Christmas day with a roof over our heads.
Through all of this I still have many wonderful things like my granddaughter who’s love makes me want to go on. And I also have my best friend and business partner and together we will get through this.
I also have one more thing I want to thank DU for, On Dec.2nd I wrote Skinner, EarlG and Elad and asked if they would consider having a charity drive for children this Christmas and they made it happen.
I can’t donate and I am sorry but you the members of DU made this Christmas a special one for many families in need.
My internet is still available today so I had this opportunity to thank you all and hope to be back soon.

All my thoughts and good wishes are with you. We're dealing with our own hard times this year and have managed to make the most of it! Surprised the kids with having the tree up this morning when they got up and made some wonderful goodies. We've had a lot of fun this morning. Will need sleep before long. Stayed up all night.
