1. They may decide to stay away from national politics

I've seen a rising disgust with politics from some local fundies. One went so far as to cite portions of the Bible that, to her, proved Bush was the anti-Christ.

The primary is going to be nasty. In the general, there is no way the base Republicans rely on will turn out for any of one these candidates.
