AP Headline Propaganda ...."U.S. toll in Iraq surpasses that of 9/11/"
(Headline on Yahoo and also reported on MSNBC Misleads by leaving the impression that Iraq had something to do with "9/11. When is this fake tying Iraq and "9/11" together ever going to stop?)

U.S. toll in Iraq surpasses that of 9/11

by CHRISTOPHER TORCHIA, Associated Press Writer 12 minutes ago

BAGHDAD, Iraq - At least 36 Iraqis died Tuesday in bombings, officials said, including a coordinated strike that killed 25 in western Baghdad. Separately, the deaths of six U.S. soldiers pushed the American toll beyond the number of victims in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The three coordinated car bombs in western Baghdad injured at least 55 people, a doctor at Yarmouk hospital, where the victims were taken, said on condition of anonymity because of safety concerns. The attacks occurred in a mixed Sunni and Shiite neighborhood.

1. I took it the opposite way...

most Americans now feel the war was a mistake and a majority think that Iraq and the "war on terror" are not the same.

So, this kind of headline reinforces the cost and folly of B*sh's war. While number of 9/11 dead is a static figure, US deaths in Iraq creep upward.

I don't see how this kind of headline is propaganda or helps Chimp. At all. Similar to recent headlines that the Iraq War has exceeded WW2 in length.

:)

4. I don't think it ties the two together
although I am an insane liberal who deals with factual data. What it says to me and millions of our fellow americans is that bush has gotten more of our men and women killed in Iraq because he lied then he allowed to be killed on 9-11 because of his insane need to be a war president. What a fucking bullet to put on one's resume. He and anyone remotely connected with PNAC (politicians and right wing blowhard pundits) should be tried, found guilty and hanged by the neck until dead.

5. Propaganda Shmopaganda.
It's just a headline of an inconsequential numeric marker.

But I saw no propaganda.
