I have known Barnicle for years ... at least 25 plus, and you hit the nail right on the head. I have heard him during conversations with small groups (two or three of us, a chance meeting on the street type thing) and even then, he always has a "rant of the day", even in those situations.

Most of the time, he is very much a "man of the streets" type Boston guy. He shoots from the hip, whether you like what he has to say or not. And, people don't mind sharing their opinions with him either ... and often he listens, especially if he likes you personally.

I have to give the man his due.
