1. I'm not at a loss for words . . .
"Those of us of a certain age are starting to see all of our cultural icons kicking the bucket and it's pushing us closer to the front of the line!" :hi:

2. Yep, people younger than me are dying from things
I used to consider "old people's diseases" like heart attacks, cancer, strokes, diabetes, etc.

3. it seems we lose a lot of people around this time of the year
probably the winter weather or something since many times it's people who were already ill or older.

10. death doesn't "come in threes"
It's the human mind that has difficulty grokking many things at once, so every winter the astrology-paparazzi complex coaxes a B-celeb into the trinity o' death, or leaves the window open for #3 indefinitely, or cherrypicks quasi-famous death #4 into an unrelated narrative. You might as well say earthquakes come in threes, and choose the three highest Richter magnitudes in an open-ended time range.

9. My guess
Poppy Bush or Babs. Ford will get shoved under the rug and blivet** will have his reprieve with his national mourning and people will think that all his screw ups in the last years of his term will be because Poppy (or Mother Bush) will not be there to "guide" him. :puke:

12. Its always a loss...
When people like these die. And a sober reminder that the pen which authors the human destiny is fast falling into the hands of our confused generation.

He'll keep dying as long as they need him.

18. I'm really sad about James Brown.
He made a real difference in America and he left his soulful mark on America's musical evolution, that will stand the test of time.
