NEW HAVEN (AP) — Police have identified the victims of two unrelated shootings that left one person dead and two others in critical condition Sunday.

Tony Howell, 31, died at the Hospital of Saint Raphael after being shot outside Newt's Cafe on Whalley Avenue about 1:15 a.m.

Another man, James Brown, in his mid-20s, was also shot outside the club. He was in critical condition.
