Bush to amputee soldier: "I’m so, so sorry"

http://www.newsherald.com/free/article.display.php?id=67019

<snip>

During the past few weeks, several special visitors came to see Sgt. Joshua Cope in his hospital room at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Professional basketball player Alonzo Mourning, the first lady and the president of the United States have stopped by to visit with the wounded veteran from Panama City Beach.

“He (President George W. Bush) said, ‘I’m so, so sorry’ with tears in his eyes as he left,” said Cope’s mother, Linda. “They (the Bushes) are the humblest people.”

Joshua Cope, who served in the Germany-based 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, lost both of his legs and his right arm was injured in Iraq on Nov. 13, when his Humvee was hit by an improvised explosive device, or IED. Linda Cope said her son’s legs were amputated on the field. His left arm sustained second-degree burns.

4. He's not sorry.

Sociopaths only feel emotion for themselves and not others.

6. HUMBLE?????
Edited on Wed Dec-27-06 11:33 AM by sparosnare

I suppose it's not appropriate to laugh - but as a mother, I find what this mother said quite rediculous. Her son has lost his legs and has suffered terrible burns. If she doesn't get it by now - that Bush LIED and started a war for profit and her son was fodder for his selfish greedy bullshit, then she's hopeless. There is nothing humble about Bush and he's certainly not sorry about her son's condition.

7. "They are the humblest people"
This is exactly what the evil masters want the masses to believe, and they've done a brilliant job of fooling most of the people most of the time. Even those who are finally awakening to the truth about the policies are still fooled by the fake folksy act.

9. "They (the Bushes) are the humblest people.”" HUH????
I could come up with many adjectives to describe the Bushes. None would be even close to "humble." The man who crowed about being "a WAR president" and "the DECIDER", the man who has never admitted to being mistaken about Iraq is many things, but he is NOT "humble."

12. Jan 1, 2006: Bush insensitive with amputees
Jan 1, 2006: “Happy New Year to you all. Thanks. I can't think of a better way to start 2006 then here at this fantastic hospital” President Bush says, visiting wounded troops at the Amputee Care Center of Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The president added “As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself - not here at the hospital, but in combat with a Cedar. I eventually won. The Cedar gave me a little scratch”. Poor George.

27. There's no mystery. The MSM is STILL covering for Bush.
If Chimpy got the coverage he deserved (or one-tenth the negative coverage that Clinton got) he wouldn't even have a 25% approval rate.

23. A Bush crying is as common nowadays as a story about Lindsay Lohan being drunk.
Whenever 41 thinks about losing power, Jeb thinks about his blown political aspirations, or when Babs Senior feaers she's surrounded by minorities, the water works are turned on. Except for Laura, of course, as she had that treatment that the Joker offered in the first Batman movie.

25. Know how the WH Press releases stories about Bush reading?
Edited on Wed Dec-27-06 01:39 PM by Solly Mack
And doing "chores" like any Joe/Jane Blow would do? Stories meant to show he's "one of us" or "just like us"? Stories showing him wrapping gifts or handing out water? To make Bush seem human? Well, this is one of those stories...to make Bush appear human.

Fails miserably.

I don't know if the SS can arrest you for that but if I were sitting there in front of him with no narms or legs because of an illegal war he started, that would have been my response.
