I didn't need a blast from the past |

Today watching Ford really brought back the last 30 odd years .
Right now it is quite bad enough to live in this fake surreal bush world , I still can't get it into my head that this is what things have come to in this screwed up 21st century .
I am reminded that nothing has changed in 30 years for the better , it is in fact much worse .
It is a sick joke and a mistake thinking the elections will change anything . Also I doubt many will keep the feet of the dems to the fire as so many have claimed they will do , just who are the people who will follow this through ? The same ones who claim to protest ?
No that I dissagree with the ideals but I have lived a life of ideals and this is where I sit still with some bit of hope things will change and everything will come out in the wash or be ok . Bullshit !
Someone show me a way to buy into this after all these years of watching things become worse and worse and to the point where someone like bush can be a president . This in itself tells me just how foolish things are .
If the people of this country are so hopefull and commited to allow a failed government to fix their lives they are wishful at best and blind .
Everything is based on re-elections and money and energy , not you or me or the man in the moon .

Your post reminds me of how little power we think we have, given the malaise that corporate media has perpetrated as the spine of our culture.
Maybe a few out there haven't given up... we have to believe that.
The fascists will worship their musolini to the grave, at least he had a finer dress sense than hitler. ;-)

2. It is the cycle of US History |

I am possitive peoople felt just as bad on January 1st, 1930
I am not kidding, but we have cycles adn we are at the end of one more Conservative, pro corporate revolution.
How this one will end is a good question, but I do hope it ends the same way most American revolutions end, peacefully.
I'm not holding my breath though but if it does end peacefully when all is said and done not only will SS still be around, but also national health care

I don't want to find the same situation they did .
It is a different time now and they were not living with a war on top of a poverty situation . People are also more isolated and less caring for their fellow man now .
We have alot of different issues in todays society to deal with .
Alot of people will continue to be left behind and others already continue to suffer and who decides who will be next even though people for the most part played the hand they had and worked now have lost all due to some sort of perverted fate . Who could see far enough ahead and sift through the lies and hinden corporate plans so today they may have a job that was still in demand ?
