1. He's cracked. Does that count?
I despise Bush - I hope the pressure guts him and he can never sleep again. But since he's a psychopath, he's probably sleeping like a baby.

Just the "anguish & exhaustion" at not being worshipped & blindly obeyed by all.

29. It was on target.
Bush appears to me to be convinced that the American public should feel sorry for him when a soldier is killed. It reflects his total inability to recognize the wants & needs of other people as distinct individuals. As one guest said, the timing of Bush's emotional turmoil over the deaths seems suspect.

Joe was simply one of the republicans who was willing to drop support of Bush because he knows the administration will be a ball & chain on republicans for years to come. But I am beginning to think that, in his own strange way, he recognizes that Bush & Cheney have damaged the USA in a most serious way.

47. Also, scarborough was on about the emotion that bush showed this
Edited on Wed Dec-27-06 10:57 PM by calimary
last time, and cued the clip.

HAH! WHAT emotion? There wasn't any. He was deadpanning it. "My heart breaks. I read about it every day. I grieve with every mother and father - the loss of their son or daughter, blah-blah-blah." Just THE MOST disingenuous, phony-ass, insincere, trumped up bad acting job since Paulie Shore started trying to make movies. CRIMINY!!! And there was NO emotion. Like he was reading off of cue cards. I've SEEN georgie-poo get a little moist-eyed. There was nothing here, at least not in the clip scarborough chose to show. I didn't bother trying to catch any full press conference. I kept waiting for somebody to start pantomiming playing some big air-violin when the clip was over. Would have been fitting. The only thing missing was "now, watch this drive."

Frankly, that son-of-a-bitch SHOULD be cracking under the strain. He SHOULD be suffering. BTW - one of the panelists brought up that People magazine interview in which our boy george gave his cocky little response about how people would be surprised to know that he sleeps well every night. It was a good reminder to put in, here, and I'm glad. This guy's a psycho. CERTAINLY doesn't feel anybody's pain. Why should he? He's so frickin' insulated and coddled. He's never even had to get his hands dirty. What would he know from pain? Here's hoping he gets all the pain he can eat, straight up the ass this year.

Edited on Wed Dec-27-06 10:11 PM by Gabi Hayes
said something about the pain he feels as he reads about soldiers dying in combat

she asked, "Where was the pain when Cindy Sheehan sat camped outside his ranch, and Bush refused to see her? Where was the pain when he refused to allow the photos of flag draped coffins to appear as they returned to the US?"

she caught the cheap cynicism of the WH very well, and Joe was taken aback, not being able to digest the idea that this WH could POSSibly be using this new, emotional Bush as merely the latest cheap PR trick employed by the Bernaysians in charge of Newspeak distribution.

Where was Bush's anguish when he was joking about trying to find WMD under the furniture? This "emotional card" is more of the same set of lies. If he can truly have remorse so can Saddam. Americans are very forgiving and willing to do as the liberal guest suggested. She said we should discuss the problem and carry on with what is best for the country. But no, Bush's anguish is for himself because he is toast and the Joe Scarborough's have hung him out to dry.

Thanks to those of you who gave us some snippets.

As for GWB, I am not a "believer" per se, but I do believe there is power in mass consciousness, and that all of the disgust and disdain that the world feels for DumbyAss has an energy all its own.

There is no way all of those negative vibes wouldn't have some impact. Couple that with a Dem- controlled Congress and that poser in the White House is karmic and political toast.

I'll put it this way, if he's not cracking up, he's more insane than we thought.

55. I think he appears
unstable, but I do not believe it is the consequence of a Grinch-like experience, where he has suddenly grown a heart that provides him the capacity to feel the pain he has caused. He remains the single most self-centered, attention-seeking brat on earth. He has grown up to believe that he is the exact center of the universe, including his expressed belief that THE God selected him for the presidency.

With this "God-chosen" delusion, he felt that his will was divine. If he wanted to attack Saddam, and thus out-do his earthly father's accomplishments, he could. If Dick Cheney told him he could re-make the Middle East in his own image, it became the earthly mission of George W. Bush.

When American military men and women were wounded or killed, George saw it as a reflection of his bravery. It was not something uniquely attributed to those soldiers -- few knew their names, and fewer saw their remains shipped back. But we saw Iron Eyes George W, shedding that tear. Noble warrior, he.

When things went on the downward spiral, George knew it was God, testing the sad and weakly human folk's faith in God .... but not in George. He knew. He had that special comfort that comes to only the most select and divine man on earth.

The "war president" was the pope of death and destruction. Few in Washington dared oppose him openly. But, in the manner that all of history's savage fools self-destruct -- and in the exact way that those with dreams of empire are defeated -- it is reality that is causing Bush the stress and strain. He is doing his best to ignore, deny, and avoid reality. But it's knocking on his door.

But I still believe the collective negativity directed at him has an impact. He thought he was so clever, everyone would just buy his evil - lock, stock and barrel. What a shock for the whole cabal to realize they are hated and doomed to be called enemies of the US in the history books (at least, the ones I'll be reading or penning!)

with you 100% on the collective negativity's impact. When polls said that 70% +/- supported him, he took pride in being able to take an "in-your-face" stance towards his opposition. But now he is aware that 70% +/- oppose him, including many he thought were his friends.
