My post on Gerald Ford.... and I live in West Michigan...
The single thing that I will remember about Gerald Ford is that he was on the Warren Commission and they all determined that Kennedy was shot by a lone gunman by a SINGLE bullet.

BULLSHIT.... anybody that has researched this assasination will understand that this commission covered up a conspirasy that eminated from Johnson himself..... period.

He helped cover up a murder of an American President. Shame on him.....

That is all I have to say....

1. There was a funny post about this earlier, where Ford goes to heaven
and is confronted by Oswald.

Gerald R. Ford Sort Of Goes To Heaven.

2. Not everybody!
Lamar Waldron & Thom Hartmann Think the Mafia did it & have a new book that says so...

"Ultimate Sacrifice: John and Robert Kennedy, the Plan for a Coup in Cuba, and the Murder of JFK"

Editorial Reviews From Publishers Weekly

Starred Review. There has been a long hiatus in significant books on the JFK assassination since Gerald Posner's Case Closed argued in 1993 that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Posner took the CIA's lack of involvement for granted, and that, according to this mammoth and painstakingly researched account, was a big mistake. It is Waldron and Hartmann's (The Edison Gene) contention—bolstered by access to many previously unavailable files, and interviews with little-known as well as prominent figures—that the CIA knew a great deal about the assassination. But the agency couldn't admit what it knew because that could uncover the existence of a U.S. plan for a coup in Cuba, run by JFK's brother, Attorney General Robert Kennedy. The assassination, say the authors, was carried out by hired gunmen on the orders of three noted Mafia dons whose lives were being made miserable by RFK's ruthless pursuit—and these Mafia men knew about the planned invasion because they had worked with the CIA on previous efforts to topple Castro. Oswald, long a hidden CIA agent, was set up as the patsy, and it had always been Jack Ruby's job to eliminate him if he wasn't killed at the scene of Kennedy's shooting. How do the authors make their case? With a relentless accumulation of detail, a very thorough knowledge of every political and forensic detail and the broad perspective of historians rather than assassination theorists. They spend perhaps too much time with people they admire, like the late Enrique Ruiz Williams, who was a crucial early source for them. They also cannot resist chasing stories of only marginal relevance to their principal one, like what really happened to Che Guevara in Cuba.

Book Description
Ultimate Sacrifice reveals, for the first time, John and Robert Kennedy's plan for a coup in Cuba on December 1, 1963 — a plan that involved a U.S. military invasion. Unique, distinctly different, and far more advanced than any previously disclosed operation, this plan is corroborated by many declassified military and CIA documents that have never been quoted in any book before. It provides the missing piece of the puzzle regarding JFK's murder, and explains why Bobby Kennedy told close associates that the Mafia was behind his brother's assassination.

The Mafia had managed to infiltrate the Kennedys' intended coup. Ultimate Sacrifice describes and documents an attempt they made to kill JFK in a motorcade several days prior to Dallas. This attempt had more than a dozen parallels to Dallas.

Building on the work of the seven governmental committees that investigated aspects of JFK's assassination, the four million documents that were declassified in the 1990s, and exclusive interviews with many Kennedy insiders, the authors are able to tell the full story of these incidents.

The 904 page book with 2,700 footnotes is the product of 17 years of research and interviews. The book could not have been written, the authors say, without access to thousands of documents made available by the 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, which was passed into law after the public outcry surrounding Oliver Stone's 1991 pro-conspiracy movie, JFK.

The book's central thesis is that three Mafia chieftains -- Santos Trafficante of Tampa, Carlos Marcello of New Orleans and John Rosselli of Chicago -- conspired to kill the president in retaliation for JFK’s crackdown on the mob. This isn’t new.

What is new is the book's main disclosure that the Mafia believed it could get away with the president's assassination because it had inside CIA knowledge of a purported "Kennedy secret" – the alleged Dec. 1, 1963 plan to overthrow Fidel Castro in a violent coup (C-Day, they call it) then replace him with a pro-U.S., puppet regime.

3. I read a book sometime in the 90's and
it was written by an intern who was in the emergency room at the Dallas hospital where Kennedy was taken after he was shot. I can't remember his name...but he said he was told by FBI or CIA... that he couldn't talk about what he had witnessed or his career would be ended before it began.

After over twenty years and becoming a respected surgeon.... he wrote this book that pretty much implicated Johnson....

Now living in West Michigan...my local H.S. history teacher had a Proffessor from Grand Valley State University give a lecture on the assination of JFK at the H.S....

I attended expecting to hear the accepted version of the murder... to my surprise this prof who taught a class on famous assasinations... completely verified the book that I had read a decade earlier.

Yes... the mafia was involved and in my opinion... by the direction of Johnson...

The Warren Commission had to determine that one bullet couldn't have killed the President...just looking at the Zebruder film actknowledges that... but to cover it up because you felt it was in the best interest of the country is blasphemy.

That is why I have zero respect for the man... and then to pardon a criminal for the same reasons....
