When the Supreme Court installed Bush in 2000, our quiet acceptance of this squatter in the White House was needed in order to heal the nation.

Now that the shit is hitting the fan in earnest regarding the many "questionable" activities of Bushco, once again our lucky nation has yet another opportunity for the healing which can only come from sweeping Republican crimes under the rug.

Of course when that rascally Clinton got an illicit bj the only way for the nation to heal was to come to a screeching halt and focus all time, energy and resources on investigation and punishment.

Republicans do indeed believe in compassion and forgiveness -- directed at themselves by everyone else.
