A Very Important Question about Iraq for Bush to Answer |
|
Let me preface my question with these facts.
Before one more drop of American blood is shed, or one more US dollar is spent in Iraq, George W. Bush should demand the following from the Shiite dominated Iraqi Government:
You must pass a resolution in the new Iraqi Parliament that you will ally yourself with the United States in any conflict arising with any nation, including Iran.
Does anyone think for one minute, that the Shiite dominated Iraqi Government will side with the Judeo-Christian United States in an armed conflict with Iran.
As US President Knucklehead warns of dire consequences should Iran move forward in their quest for nuclear weapons, can we be assured that the very army and security forces in Iraq that we are equipping and training will not turn on our brave men and women?
I want a written document that the same Shiites that we have empowered will side with us in a conflict with Iran.
Remember, these very leaders and their followers felt a stronger allegiance with their Shiite brothers in Iran than with their own country, Iraq, throughout the eighties.
Muqtada al-Sadr, who holds 15-seats in the Iraqi Parliament has already stated that he would side with Iran in a conflict with the US. Not one Shiite Iraqi leader condemned this statement.
Democrats must demand this answer from the President. Will the Iraqi Government and military stand loyally with us in an armed conflict with Iran? We deserve an answer, and we deserve it now. This position is easy for Americans to understand, and it so important that I can't believe that I never heard this discussed anywhere else before.
This position will put everything in perspective and force the issue now, before it is too late.
If Iran, as Bush says, is actually evil, where does this new "Democracy" in Iraq stand? Let's hear it.

This must be catching someone's attention.
I've been thinking about this all day.
Every wing-nut that I challenged with this was struck dumb. It is a really compelling argument, and the real answer is scary.

One I'm sure has crossed many minds in the reality-based community, including mine.
That's why it won't be discussed or so much as acknowledged by the media till after BushCo strikes Iran.
