He praised Ford for all the wonderful traits that Bush himself has never had.

I thought it was just wierd. And there was Bush with his gray hair sticking out all over his head. Speaking of all of Ford's honest and good traits - all things needed by a president.

I had to turn it off.

14. Jon Stewart sums it up nicely: Bush reads book reports.
It's like he's back in fourth grade reading some crap he copied from the encyclopedia.

4. Well, someone else wrote it for him. There were lots of big words that
I was surprised he even knew how to read.

Most of the time, the beast is incomprehensible while reprehensible.

5. it was philosoraptor who said in an earlier thread that pardoning nixon was not any kind of healing
for our country. philosoraptor was/is not just right. he is 100% clear. but yes, i found bush's incessant eye-blinking while praising ford to be weird. it showed me the soul of a very disturbed man and the eyes of a man who lies his ass off, prn, as needed.

bed headed, and regurgitated the speech writer's words; the speech was bizarre coming from "mr. integrity" himself.

10. I can't laugh at him. I think he is just plain scary as hell.
I think he would be funny if he didn't have his finger on the bomb.

11. He Damned Ford with Faint Praise
It was clearly not sincere. Bush clearly has no grasp on the positive things that Ford brought to the presidency.

13. Yes.
Oh how I wish Bush would have lived up to the same standards he praised Ford for. Bush hopes those same words will be spoken of him when he passes. Not going to happen George.
