http://www.keloland.com/News/NewsDetail6375.cfm?Id=0,53441Senator Still SedatedThursday, Senator Tim Johnson turns 60. He'll spend his birthday in intensive care, still sedated after emergency brain surgery two weeks ago.
The senator’s remains in critical but stable condition at a hospital in Washington, D.C., and his doctors say he'll be heavily medicated until the swelling in his brain goes down.

Senator Johnson's doctors say they won't know the extent of permanent damage until he wakes up, but they do say he'll probably need some form of therapy... perhaps physical or speech. Johnson's communications director says his progress is right on target and for now --quote-- "he's in a good place."
There's no word on how long the senator will remain sedated, but his family will be in the hospital at Johnson's bedside to celebrate his 60th birthday.
