I am writing in regard to an article written by Laurie Kellman about the removal of Cindy Sheehan and Beverly Young from the State of the Union address last night. The article mischaracterizes that nature of both women's shirts. While it accurately states that Ms. Sheehan was wearing a shirt that read "2245 Dead. How many more?", Ms. Kellman's article editorializes that "Young's shirt had just the opposite message: 'Support the Troops — Defending Our Freedom.'" In doing so, Ms. Kellman suggests that Cindy Sheehan does not support our troops. This is grossly unfair to a woman who made the ultimate sacrifice a parent can make when her son, Casey, died in Iraq.

I would be appreciative if you would forward this note to Ms. Kellman and to your ombudsman, as well as reply with contact information for Ms. Kellman. I would also ask that in fairness to both Ms. Sheehan and Ms. Young that you remove the inaccurate editorial comment from future releases of this story.

was just smoke. Capitol Police and BushCo trying to cover their a**'s after they realized how this would play. I want witnesses to her being asked to leave and the argument that supposedly ensued and I want to hear from someone who saw her wearing that "support the troops" t-shirt BEFORE Cindy was dragged out and arrested.
