other than a welcome from the rest of us....we should ALL celebrate, as I celebrate each newcomer as a harbinger of where our nation is heading. I like to think our board is hardcore-a lean, mean, activist machine...we grow together and work towards results that though diverse, support democratic, egalitarian goals. In some way, our casualties in Iraq truly are "just a number". As to #3,000's inevitable death, it is no more or less meaningful than 2,999's or 3,001's-one more young man or woman of promise and hope will be "spent". This is a term I need to use as they are the capital we will most miss in these coming years...
I came here after an election, dazed and confused. I neither expected nor needed prizes or recognition- I needed sanity and found it here-that is the prize each of us receives-I'm betting it is enough....
