Is The Pentagon Cooking Intelligence Up Again for an Iran Attack?
A breathless barbara starr on CNN gave this "exclusive report" from the pentagon yesterday about the capture of these two Iranians who gave IED technology to insurgents (aren't most of them Sunni?)Check out where they are getting this piece of "intelligence". It sure looks like the pentagon has abother OSP unit making shit up about Iran. Now it appears the US has let these "high profile" detainees go.

From the WaPo yesterday.....

<snip>

Two Iranians detained by U.S. forces in Iraq were senior members of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards and had coordinated attacks against coalition troops and Iraqi civilians, the head of an Iranian opposition group said Thursday.

The White House said earlier this week that U.S. troops had caught a group of Iranians in a raid on suspected insurgents in Iraq. Two of the men had diplomatic immunity and were released them to Iran, but the other two were kept in custody.

Maryam Rajavi, who heads the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NICR), an anti-regime umbrella group based in Paris, said the two men being held were senior members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' Qods force and were responsible for sectarian attacks in Iraq.

She cited the group's intelligence officials as the source of the information.

It was not possible to independently verify Rajavi's claim, but the group has provided relatively accurate information on developments in Iran over the past several years, including details on the country's secretive nuclear program.

Who is Maryam Rajavi you might wonder? Check out her connections to the PNACers and AEI neocons....

Report: U.S. frees 2 Iranian detainees

TEHRAN, Iran — Two Iranians detained by U.S. troops in Iraq were released early Friday, Iranian state-run television reported.

The U.S. military had no immediate comment. There was also no immediate reponse from the U.S. Embassy.

Iranian state TV referred to the Iranians as diplomats and said the release happened Friday but provided no other details.

The White House said earlier this week that U.S. troops had caught a group of Iranians in a raid on suspected insurgents in Iraq. Two of the men had diplomatic immunity and were released to Iran, but the other two were kept in custody.

It sure looks like the neo-cons are desperately STILL trying to manufacture a case for attacking Iran.

9. Re: another OSP .....
Keep in mind that the neocon/AIPAC espionage scandal, which involves many of the same players as the Plame and Niger yellow cake scandals, was focused on how to expand the "democratic front" in the Middle East to include Iran.

12. This adds to my growing theory - that the U.S. and Iran are
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 10:20 AM by higher class
working together to decimate Iraq to take the oil together. If the U.S. can sell (allow to be sold) nuclear equipment to Iran, why can't they work together and share the pumping and selling of the oil.

All things are possible with PNAC!

PNAC - an agenda of running the world that succeeded in getting into position and commencing the destruction and manipulation.

Partnerships that turn on a dime or over years are common. The same people who are making deals today made deals yesterday.

How many former leaders of their countries who were former partners with the U.S. (specifically, the same people who are in charge now) are in jail?

Noriega and Hussein. (Are there others)

How many duly elected leaders were thrown out of their country by the U.S. with other country help and exiled against their will? Aristede

How many duly elected leaders survived a coup attempt by the U.S. during the PNAC rule? Chavez

How many survived terrorist acts, a four decade embargo, and a well greased hate campaign? Castro

How many are on the list to be taken out? Morales

How many leaders have been orchestrated out of office or killed and some to their death in Asia, Africa, Middle East, Central American, South America, Caribbean?

We've been sooooooo ignorant for the last 50 years. We're smarter, but so far, it hasn't made that much of a difference. Yet?

The same people, over and over, are burped up on us.

Has Cheney ever changed except to become worse?
