25. The sad thing is, most people in Texas don't have basements.
Betcha' George does, though. Heavily fortified. So he'll come out smirking (after changing into a pair of clean pants), even more convinced that he was spared because Gawd is on his side.

26. I've never understood that
Is there some reason folks in Texas don't have basements? There's no way in Hades I'd live in Tornado alley in a house wihtout a basement.

28. Cheaper to bury someone than dig a basement, I guess.
Freaks me out. Mr. t and I have talked about buying a storm shelter that could be bolted to the slab and installed in the garage.

30. Thin soil and a high water table
If we did have basements, they'd be flooded a good part of the time, I suppose.

19. Kali Ma
Om krim
Shri Ma
Dakshina Kalika
Davi Svaha

Kali is Goddess of Destruction. She wears a necklace of skulls around her neck. She comes when things have become so bad, and will not be changed, to wipe the slate clean. If Kali doesn't come in the form of a tornado, perhaps She will come in the form of the 110th Congress......

21. It's just typical Texas weather, y'all. No big deal.
BUT, it would be interesting if Bush's little ranchette got nailed.

He'd probably get the government to re-build it for him asserting some presidential requirement to have the White House, Camp David AND Rancho Arbusto in Crawford.
