is the way to power and peace in the region and world. Love and compassion is the only way. War is stupid. Killing is stupid.

2. Um...that would be a good idea except....when you are
talking to a sociopath....who believes torture and vengence is the proper way to handle issues....gotta a feeling that he will smirk and justify the hanging as a strike against terrorism......blah, blah, blah, lie, lie, lie, smirk, smirk, smirk...

3. Bush is holed up in Crawford at the pig farm -
I'm sure he'll have a live feed to the hanging. Any attempt to contact him and get him to stop it is a waste of time, sadly.

4. Compassion for that vile monster? I have only contempt
The purpose of a trial is to determine whether allegations of criminal activity are true or false. The tribunal rightly concluded that Saddam Hussein is a murderous criminal.

Surely you can find a better object for compassion than this man who rose to position through brutality, and maintained position with a vast network of secret police who were encouraged to use violence as their first tool of "persuasion." He started the war with Iran in the 80s. He started the war with Kuwait in the early 90s. He drained the waterlands of the Marsh Arabs. He gassed the Kurds. His own sons raped and killed teenaged girls for sport, and physically tortured athletes who failed to win medals at the Olympics.

What's next, compassion for Stalin and Pol Pot?

Peace.

5. yeah, but...
Remember when that flock of fundies couldn't make him stop the execution of that Christian woman (the one he mocked after she was executed)? If his 'base' couldn't stop that killing, the whole of the American public won't stop this one.

I really think he's like a sociopathic sexual sadist - he gets some kind of sexual thrill from death. And THAT is not a pretty picture to behold, especially right after lunch.

6. worth a try...who do we call to try to influence him...who has a line in
Clinton? Brother Jeb? It is a magical time. We should try for Love and Compassion even with the hardest. What if it should fail. Who cares. We tried.

I'm calling Jeb's office. Who else?

8. I just got through to the WH comments line
They said to me that it was a Iraq court and I said Bush could call the right people. I said that it was an hour away and he said he did not know that.
So call guys. Nothing will be lost. Where are the flames.

Love to you all and to all in Iraq and even goofballs someplace in Tx.
