Chris Mathews is such a blowhard whore
Watching Hardball right now, a Democrat strategist is on. The Democratic strategist is pointing out that the Congress was basically lied to. Mathews ignores him and says about Hillary, very loose quote, "how can she be trusted with the future of the country if she voted for the Iraq war."

Hey Chris, I could of sworn I heard about, what, 6 years of you cheerleading the Bush Administration. Now that you realize YOU made the wrong call, you're suddenly against anyone who originally supported WHAT YOU SUPPORTED? Scumbag.

1. He was first against the war, but cheerleaded Bush through it, anyway. He forgets that part
and the Mission Accomplished photo op where he gushed all over Bush in the most sickening display of hero worship by a supposed newsman I have ever seen televised.

2. I'm with you 110%...
but there are a few folk around here who argue with the likes of us. Yesterday, there was a guy who was insisting that Tweety was coherently against the war from the beginning. Screw him. Your pick as to who the antecedent is in the previous sentence.

4. Uh no.
I disagree with Clinton's position then and now, but her vote for the IWR does not disqualify her from leading the country unless it also disqualifies every Republican except Chafee, the ex-senator from Rhode Island and congressman Ron Paul. I hardly think tweety meant to apply the same standard across the board, so he is bullshitting.

It makes her a less desireable candidate, in my opinion, than other potential Democratic candidates, it does not disqualify her.

6. Matthews also made a statement to the effect that
if a vote were to occur that would push more war, Hillary would be out there saluting through the rubble.

As far as I'm concerned, her political ficklness does disqualify her from consideration by me.

9. Oh she might very well do that.
Don't misunderstand me: Clinton is not my choice for 08. My point is only that Tweety is not going to apply this standard to anyone else, in particular he is not going to apply it to McCain or other Republicans, so it is a bullshit statement.

13. I agree. Thankfully most people don't watch him or care that he exists.
He's a windbag and an agitator - nothing more.
