How about a Gore/Edwards ticket?
Has this combination been discussed yet?

I think that would be a good one.

Discuss.

1. Nothing with Edwards on it.
But, Gore, I'll take whole-heartedly.

Why not, if you don't mind my asking?
Frankly, right now I have trouble seeing myself enthused about a ticket with Hillary or Kerry on it, but Edwards doesn't bother me that much.

2. Didn't Edwards say he was done running for veep?
Can't say I blame him. I'd happily vote for such a ticket, but I don't see it happening.

3. Sure, why not.
I like Gore/Obama a bit better but Gore/Edwards sounds good too. Sadly, unless big Al decides to run it's not going to happen.

5. Would that be 'southern' enough??
After all, God forbid either party have a national ticket without a candidate from the south, right?

7. That's been my fave for months
Though I don't think Gore will run, so I'll back Edwards as far as he takes it - hopefully to the White House.

8. Anything with Gore at the top of the ticket works for me
except for Gore/Lieberman, that is (hmmmmm....where have I heard that before?).

I think Gore/Edwards could be good, but I doubt Edwards will take the #2 slot again.

10. I prefer Gore/Obama.
I would prefer to have a ticket with two people who opposed the Iraq fiasco from the start.

12. gore had his shot, he didn't want it enough to fight for it
granted he could not have known how bad it would get when he allowed the coup to go forward, but we do know now, and we need a fighter

clark, edwards, clinton, obama -- i don't care, just get me someone who wants it badly and will fight and isn't already perceived as having "blown it"

why not edwards/gore?

17. Right. He only fought it for six weeks, right up to the Supreme Court,
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 09:34 PM by NYCGirl
And without the help of his running mate, without the help of his party. He should have gunned down the SCOTUS, I guess.

Edited to add:

15. Edwards is not running for VP again
and most of the time the VP choice is someone who wasn't in the presidential race. 2004 was a major exception.

18. Only thing better would be Gore/Obama.
Imagine that along with Attorney General John Edwards and Defense Secretary Wesley Clark. Secretary of State... hmm... wouldn't Bill Clinton be an OUTRAGEOUS pick? He'd almost certainly turn it down, but it sure would be nice to have his influence at work in the State Department.
