Saddam execution: Think about it
Today or tomorrow, the U.S. will have shown the world that it assumes the right to invade any country, depose its government and execute its leader -- even if the country in question has not attacked us and poses no military threat.

Why is that a good thing for our long-term security? Does any one at all NOT see how such a thing could bite us in the butt some day? Saddam needed killing. But not by us. It was not for us to do it.

And yes, I know that we'll be handing him over to the Iraqis to do the actual deed (cowards that we are) and that we arranged for Iraqis to be the face of the kangaroo court we set up. But even an idiot can see through that stuff.

2. This will come back to bite us on the ass big time.
If not sooner, then later, but it will happen, and once again we will have a Bush to blame for yet another loss of the respect we once enjoyed around the world.

pResident. I do not want him as a martyr. I would not be surprised if he isn't personally targeted by them. This war has always been between poppy, jr , the oil barrons and the Arab's who do not want them in the ME.

7. We already proved that when we invaded Panama
Noriega will probably be in jail until he dies -- effectively executing him.

8. And, to get him, we killed thousands of innocent Panamanians.
But, hey, Bush Sr. bagged his man (and former associate).
