Gerald Ford: The Bushes are Liars

It's a shame that he didn't fight a little harder against the Religious Right. I know damn well that he's pro choice, both of them.

6. I hope more will be revealed of what FORD KNEW
He seems to know quite a bit about quite a number of things that need some light shone on them.

2. Your subject doesn't match your post.
The subject says they're pro-life, while the post says they're pro-choice.

4. Why didn't he say these things when it would have made a
difference? It might have saved us years of agony.

10. because he was not respected and his opinions were not wanted
ford was not actually a liked or respected man once he did the pardon, his advice would have been worse than useless, hell, it might even have encouraged reagan or bush or another to do the opposite just so it was clear they weren't w. stupid

i'm amazed that people have forgotten the anger in those days, there were two assassination attempts on ford, probably the most hated man in america next to nixon, that we know of, during his very short presidency

he pardoned nixon and basically abandoned our allies in vietnam to either catch a boat, catch a helicopter, or presumably be killed, oh and don't forget the stupid-ass WIN buttons because the economy was in the toilet

actually even before the pardon, altho ford was thought to be a good person to work with, he was always considered stupid -- hence lbj's comment that he had played too much football sans helmet

who wants advice from someone considered a dumb-ass?

5. Proof that *'s non-attendance of the memorial service has NOTHING to do
with "scheduling" - he just feels snubbed by Ford's opinions and is getting his revenge in the most petty and childish way possible...just when I think my level of respect for this douchebag couldn't get any lower...

Whoa! And he had to mess up Corretta Scott King's..so Harry Belafonte had to disinvited!

That's going to look so good on bush's resume.

20. Actually, he is going to the funeral and he is speaking....
Some posters are saying that because he isnt going to attend the public viewing of his body in the capital that he's not going to the "memorial." He's actually speaking at his funeral. Srry, I just like to point out the facts.

21. We all know the BUSH CRIME FAMILY is a pack of liars...
Jerry Ford is a "day late, dollar short" on this one. Too bad he didn't have the courage of his close friend Jimmy Carter to speak up sooner.

23. Well, if the radical right want to own the Republican party, this
might just go a long way toward the Republics kicking the Bush clan out and denying them a base with which to keep a stranglehold on the institutions and power in this nation.
