I Shed No Tears For Saddam
The only conversation he has left is the one with his Maker.

A horrible man who caused so much needless death and destruction to his own countrymen and to his neighbors.

Bush has his victor's justice, some Iraqis may feel a sense of vindication.

Saddam probably deserved to be executed more than a lot of people, I don't feel any sorrow or compassion for him or his family.

However this act was not worth the lives of nearly 3,000 young Americans, and countless thousands more injured and maimed.

George Bush, you won. You killed Saddam Hussein, you beat your father, its over. Lets declare victory and leave. We need to leave that country, and not one more drop of American blood should spill in that sandy desert wasteland.

5. Are you sure OBL had anything to do with 911? Not even the FBI has enough
evidence to prove it.

Claiming credit is not evidence of guilt!

18. It wasn't really him in the tapes. Remember the one and only video?
the OBL was fat and right handed. The real OBL is skinny and left handed. All the rest of the tames were audio only. The CIA said it was him. So, who believes the CIA anymore?

4. It's not about tears for Saddam IMO. It's about tears for us
What I see in the media is execution porn. They are revelling in the execution. People are gloating about it. and to me, it's like gloating about being able to beat up children.

12. His sons in law betrayed him and the country....
Why they made the decision to come back is amystery to me but they did and they suffered the cosequences of traitors. If there wer americans who betrayed thier country you would want them to be executed to wouldn't you? Just wondndering if you can be consistent! Especially if they weere in high government positions. Hey how did you feel about the Rosenmbergs being fried for giving away state secrets. Were their murders justified because they betrayed their country?

14. Except he promised them that all would be forgiven if they came back
And that makes a difference.
I'll try to find the link, but I remember reading about it in Newsweek.

19. NO. Fuck no.
I don't want people executed. Period. And Saddam gave his word to his daughter that her husband wouldn't suffer any reprisals, but hey, if you want to paint Saddam as justified in slaughtering his sons-in-law, feel goddamn free.

13. With all my being, I believe all souls deserve to live. This
person deserves to seek and receive knowledge and reconcile what he did to another or others before his life ends - not to die by the hand of man.

We were never given the right to punish man by death.

In all of humanity, we were never given this right.

We live under made up rules.
