It's a little weird. A lot of their viewers live in a mis-remembered past and conflate it with a poorly understood present. This is a "big deal" for them. Don't spoil the binge right now.

Later someone can do a pattern-filled bar graph showing numbers of dead human skulls under all of Saddam's regime vs. the number after Bush made his big boo boo. But for now, they need their fix.
