He says they are waiting for them to be released and we will show them when we get them.

3. Something like that
I was watching Anderson Cooper earlier and had to stop. He was interviewing Iraq's "deputy ambassador" to the UN, a man who conspiculously had no accent to speak of (can anyone say American-educated?), and who was gloating about "a victory for the Iraqi people".

How exactly is the execution of a man who did not receive a fair trial a victory? How is something that's going to incite violence and cause even more deaths a victory?

Once we supported something called the Nuremberg trials that brought dozens of Nazi war criminals to justice. Now we support mock trials followed by public executions followed by media exploitation...

2. How did we get here. How did we get from a nation that shut down
when JFK was murdered to a nation waiting on the pix of our dead puppet.

4. Seems like if we were going to see the sentence carried out, we'd also
get to see the trial.

6. Hypocrisy of the public and media
It's OK to show JFK's head being blown off repeatedly, in slow-motion, every November for decades...yet it's "tasteless" to show Saddam (with a hood to cover his face) being hanged.

And please, don't anyone even begin to argue that JFK was given a fair trial before his death....

7. Its like the Roman Empire
Bringing back the head of a slightly rebellious provincial leader, for the plebes to gawk at and admire the power of the Empire.
