Okay, so in a really f***ed up way, there was some justice...
The morality of the death penalty aside, Saddam did a lot of bad things, and he has now paid for them. He's got his just desserts and some of the Iraqis got the justice they deserve.

Also, Pinochet (remember him?) is dead now, too. So the Chileans got the justice they deserve.

<rant, railing at the sky>
So when the fuck do we get ours? Don't the American people deserve some justice? Don't we deserve some fucking retribution for the crimes of our government? God saw fit to whack one dictator (Pinochet). Why the hell is He waiting around to dispense His justice on the dictator who occupies the Oval Office? I'm not saying that God should whack Dubya. I don't wish the man death. (I don't wish anybody death.) But I sure think He should make some kind of fucking statement! You listening, God? I'll bet You've got thousands of people telling You the same thing I am! Why in hell can't we get ours?
</rant>

Sorry if that made no sense. I'm drunk. Just needed to let that out.

3. God gave me His mesage tonight
"Impeach Bush and then hang him for war crimes" It came through loud and clear.

We've heard from God at last. I am so humbled.

11. Pinochet died of natural causes
There is no justice in that for the victims of his regime. He was 90+, so God took his time in whacking him.

Bush's crimes are human crimes and he should be tried by the courts.

All that being said, I agree with the general sense of your rant. Maybe I will get drunk later too.

14. Well, at least he drew a really shitty reincarnation.
Probably as the grit on the bottom of somebody's shoe or something like that.

Come to think of it, that would really blow if that were your ENTIRE EXISTENCE. So yeah, justice is served, Pinochet is now stuck to the bottom of some Chilean's shoe.

15. I don't want justice to roll the same way they played it in Iraq
It's not the way our nation operates or should operate. Justice was served when Saddam was deprived of his freedom. Nothing was served by killing him, outside of some vengeance, perhaps. We've had enough killing in the past six years. I'm not sure if the blowback from this one will be worth it. There has to be someone who steps up and says ENOUGH! Enough killing. No more unnecessary killing.

19. there's no justice when his death is by murder . . .
which is exactly what it was . . . we invaded and occupied his country illegally, arranged for a kangaroo court to convict and sentence him, and saw to it that the execution was carried out -- before he could spill all he knows about BushCo . . .

that's not justice, no matter how bad a guy he might have been . . .
