Frankenstein and Saddam....a tale of duplicity and greed |
|
Our very government of, by, and for the people, many of whom are still in positions of power in DC, created the monster, Saddam. Igor, in the person of Rumsfeld, gave sustenance to the monster and insured his health. He was allowed an area to pillage and rage in unchecked so long as he would do his master's bidding. When the monster would not deliver the oil fields to his creator, it insured his death.
We own Saddam and his crimes as surely as we own our own greed as a nation--a greed and sense of entitlement so monstrous that enslaving other peoples to sustain the decadent culture we falsely label "the American dream" is wilfully overlooked. We have bastardized the principles of freedom and human rights and wilfully contorted noble motives into cynical political ploys. We have birthed a new monster using these rationalizations and this one may not be so easily destroyed. It may very well destroy its master.

and sophmoric analysis. Yes, the U.S. is complicit in Saddam's rise to power, but the conclusion that the U.S. is soley responsible for his crimes, is predictable baloney. I find your post woefully devoid of any critical thinking.
