(Missoula) Peace sign to make comeback
http://missoulian.com/articles/2006/12/30/news/local/news03.txt

A peace sign will reign over Missoula once more in 2007.

The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center has signed a buy-sell agreement for a slice of land on the face of Waterworks Hill and plans to establish a community peace park there.

The park will include a peace sign akin to ones that persistently showed up higher on the hill throughout much of the 1980s and all of the 1990s. Again and again, the symbols were covertly painted, covered up and painted again on a microwave reflective tower.

Qwest dismantled the communications tower in 2001, and the peace sign's pieces now reside in a number of Missoula backyards and businesses.
