Local news website needs a DU slap in the head (dead Saddam pic as web headline)

Before you check out this front page - I'm warning you.

They lead as everyone else, with the Saddam story. Only the morans who run the website, figured it would be in excellent taste to lead with a picture of the dead body.

To whom it may concern,

I visited your website this morning looking for information on the weather, due to to the torrential rain we were having at the time. Smack bang on the front page as the lead story is the execution of Saddam Hussein, which is fair enough, everyone else in the world is leading with it too. What I have a problem with, is out of the millions of pictures of the now deceased dictator, you have to choose one of the dead body. I find that in incredibly poor taste, offensive and quite frankly irresponsible to have right there on the front page. Especially for those with young children present, that is not an image that should be so easily seen and certainly not without a few more clicks and a warning over graphic content.

I shall be writing to all your advertisers to let them know of your poor taste in editorial content.

I've stated elsewhere I'm staying away from news outlets, today.

And I'm not about to click your link.

I was 100% against an Iraq invasion from the minute Wolfie, Rummy, and Dick started waving their red capes on September 13, 2001. Or was it the 12th?

All the people who were in favor of this war, these photos should be required viewing for them. The video should be required viewing for them. Some will get off on it, but very few. The rest, I hope will be left disturbed by what they brought about.

To open your web page to check the weather and be confronted with a picture of Saddam's dead body was disgusting. The picture of him live with the noose? I guess it wasn't salacious and perverted enough for you guys. You had to show him dead.

My family and I are finished with KATC. Death isn't something to celebrate and only the truly depraved would gloat over the execution of another by dancing over the picture of his dead body. I'd rather not have my children be educated -- through watching your news program -- by people whose morals and sense of decency are so dangerously low.
